In this worked example, his 2026/27 annual basic salary is £47,610.00, or £3,967.50 per month before rota additions and deductions. The example uses a full-time schedule and an illustrative 1 in 6 weekend frequency. The current pay circular lists the 5% annual allowance as £2,381.00, or £198.42 per month.
